A Cambio de Colores Initiative
The Cambio Center at the University of Missouri – Columbia presents:
1st Student Midwest Latino Research Symposium:
Los Pioneros del Futuro

As announced at the Cambio de Colores Conference 2008, this new and exciting symposium for students with Latino-focused research is sorely needed and will be a wonderful place for students to share their research with other students and faculty! Please consider attending and presenting at this forum for students involved in Latino related research initiatives!
Goals of Symposium:
- Share important state-of-the-art research regarding Latino issues
- Establish an identity for Hispanic/Latino issues in the Midwest region by creating a network of young interested researchers
- Identify future directions for research and practices related to Hispanic/Latino research in the Midwest region
Benefits Gained:
- Being involved in a working, interactive symposium – the first of its kind!
- Gaining experience in presenting research
- Networking with fellow Latino student researchers
- Presentations will be published in the web, and…
- Selection of papers will be invited to be a part of a printed publication!
Target Population:
- Graduate students from institutions in the Midwest region interested in presenting research with a Latino focus
- Open to all graduate level students interested in Latino issues
- Undergraduates are also encouraged to submit abstracts with a letter of support from their advisor
